Warranty Information
Parts Warranty
Caravell (UK) Ltd will:-

Replace faulty warrantable parts on products they have sold if the cabinet is within its parts warranty period subject to the fault being with the component and not directly or indirectly caused by its inappropriate use, installation or location conditions.

Replace any faulty part within 1 month of the initial delivery [installation] subject to the same conditions.
-
Be available to take requests for warranty parts during normal working hours via fax, email or telephone.
-
Send replacement parts which are in stock by a 24 hour parcel carrier to arrive in most mainland locations the next day and to outlying areas within two days.

Send that day all parts in stock that are requested before 3pm.
-
Send parts to the end user or to the engineer at its discretion.
-
Keep at least 90% of all functional parts in stock at Buckingham.

Obtain parts not held in stock as soon as practicable.
In order to allow Caravell (UK) Ltd to achieve its promises, the supplier and/or end user must:

Report the component fault immediately and accurately.
-
Provide the serial number, model reference, location, address, a contact name and delivery date of the cabinet, when a fault is reported.

Return the faulty component if requested.
-
Provide an engineers report or other supporting documentation requested by Caravell unless the part has been ordered under Caravell's labour warranty.
Exclusions:
Caravell (UK) Ltd does not provide warranty on parts which are considered consumable such as door or drawer gaskets, batteries, light bulbs and tubes and light starters.
Caravell (UK) Ltd, in line with industry norms, limits its liability to the replacement of parts which become faulty due to defect. In so doing it cannot bear consequential costs associated with the component failure or the supply of a replacement.
Definitions:
Warrantable Part
Any part not excluded from warranty cover. See above.
Functional Part
Any part required to make the product operate.
Labour Warranty
Caravell (UK) Ltd will:-

Send an engineer to fix any of its cabinets under Labour Warranty or in the 1st month after delivery [installation] within 2 working days of a fault being reported to its Technical/Service team with a success rate of at least 90%.

Solve the cabinet issue at the first attempt at least 75% of the time.

Require their engineer to contact the end user to arrange a suitable time and date within that engineer’s constraints of other work.
-
Require end users to contact their supplier to arrange a Caravell service call where the supplier has requested that arrangement.
-
Replace that product if it fails with the same fault 3 times within the warranty period subject to the fault being with the cabinet and not directly or indirectly caused by its inappropriate use, installation or location conditions.

Attempt to be fair to all its customers and end users in the implementation of its service commitments.
In order to allow Caravell (UK) Ltd to achieve its promises, the supplier and/or end user must:

Report the product fault immediately and accurately.

Provide the serial number, model reference, location, address, a contact name and delivery date when a fault is reported.

Remove any stock, fixtures or fittings which prevent the engineer undertaking a repair/diagnosis.
-
Allow Caravell’s engineer access to the cabinet at a mutually convenient time during the working day.
-
Allow Caravell’s engineers to undertake their normal repair activities eg brazing.
-
Move the cabinet to a convenient site or position if any or all of c,d or e cannot be met, for reasons including local security or Health and Safety rules.
-
Arrange for a reasonable location for Caravell’s engineer to park their van and unload their equipment.

Pay Caravell (UK) Ltd at its standard rate upon request when an engineer’s visit has been requested yet there is no defect with the equipment. This includes where the equipment is unable to function properly for reasons (directly or indirectly) of user abuse or error, lack of maintenance, improper positioning, problems associated with power supplies or ambient conditions outside the specified ranges. Failure to pay may result in the termination of Labour Warranty.
Exclusions:
Caravell (UK) Ltd in line with industry norms limits its liability to the repair or replacement of goods it has provided. In so doing it cannot bear the consequential costs of loss of stock or profit, or other user costs associated with the product breakdown and/or repair.
Labour warranty does not cover the labour necessary to replace consumable parts excluded from Caravell's Parts warranty for example door gaskets and light tubes.
Definitions:
Working day. Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm not including bank holidays. The 2 days initial visit commitment commences at 9.00am on the next working day after the fault is reported.
