CARAVELL BOLSTERS SALES TEAM WITH TWO NEW APPOINTMENTS FOR 2008

New National Accounts Manager and Sales Consultant help drive Caravell’s expansion into new markets

Caravell is pleased to announce that Richard Greasley has joined the company’s Buckingham-based sales team as National Accounts Manager. Gordon Fairey returns to the company after a short break to take on a newly-formed position as refrigeration sales consultant, offering strategic consultation to the new business team.  

 

         Richard Greasley will be responsible for managing key accounts such as Compass, Ginsters, Tesco and Bunzl. He will be responsible for the continual growth and day to day running of these National Accounts and starts his new position with immediate effect. Richard will report directly to John Lougher, managing director for Caravell 

 

Richard is an accomplished account manager, who spent eight years as an account manager at Sinclair Collis, the vending machine business prior to joining Caravell. Most recently at Sinclair Collis, Richard held the post of multiple account manager and was responsible for managing a portfolio of 50 key accounts, generating sales worth four million for the business. Prior to this, Richard worked at Mayfair, the cigarette vending machine company as a business manager, responsible for servicing machines in the South of England. His previous position was as a self-employed sales distributor for Mastercook, the gourmet frozen food company, where he managed an extensive customer base across the south of England.

 

John Lougher, managing director, Caravell , said of both appointments: ‘We are extremely pleased to welcome Richard on board. Richard’s recent sales figures are very impressive and his sales and business management experience in the retail and catering sectors is highly relevant to our business. We are also delighted to have Gordon Fairey back on the team to aid our strategic expansion into new vertical sectors. Gordon brings with him a wealth of experience and contacts.”  

 

Gordon Fairey makes a return to Caravell after a break of over two years. Gordon worked for Caravell for 6 years from 1999 to 2005 as a sales manager, and has re-joined Caravell as a self-employed Refrigeration Consultant. Gordon has an excellent track record at Caravell, establishing a market presence with, Texaco, UK Petroleum, Total Oil, BP, Gulf Retail and many of the high profile retail companies throughout the UK in his previous spell at the company.  

 

Gordon was invited in October 2007 to return specifically to strategically develop and manage new business within the petroleum, retail and catering sectors throughout the UK.  He will be responsible for sales and contract management, including developing new key contacts to help develop new product ranges, and setting up new distributors to sell the new range of products. Gordon has spent a total of 26 years working in sales, and boasts a wealth of experience within the petroleum sector.
